Well we started off
the Community Tournament against Podtacular. I have seen
them featured in Bungie write-ups numerous times, but
didn’t know much about them. It took a few minutes to
get both teams organized and a member from Pod graced us
with some singing while we waited. Half way through his
second set he mysteriously vanished and the game was
underway.

1 Flag CTF on Terminal
(O7AH's Pick)

Game:
We choose this game a lot because its one
of the few games we have a set strategy for. We all have
“Roles” as Compton would say, and do the same thing
every time. I made a seemingly devastating mistake about
10 seconds in to the game. I flipped the warthog over
and thought they were going to drop in on us from the
ledge. We managed to recover and Compton took out their
wraith and Steve got a triple kill on the Guass.
Chevelle65 bravely held us off with the rocket launcher,
but we “Chinese Armied” (See Definition on forum) in to
the base for the score. On defense we managed to keep
the wraith alive and they launched some harsh attack on
us, but could only get the flag to the tracks. Round 2
we drove in guns a blazing and happened to get to them
before they could get their defense situated. Pod used
an amazing strategy on their final offensive round. They
were having some trouble taking out the Wraith, so they
used it against us. They jumped in grabbed the flag and
I quickly betrayed half of our team. This allowed them
to work it out of the base and into the garage.
Unfortunately the wraith is just a big hairy American
killing machine and would not let them get it out of the
garage. It was a good match played well by both teams.
O7AH takes it 2-0 |

Low Hill on Beaver Creek
(Podtacular's Pick)

The Pod guys went with this because they
said that they played it in the humpday challenge with
Bungie. Lucky ducks! It sounded fun so I was excited to
get in the match. The pod guys really came out swinging
and put the hurt on us up front. We lost the race to the
OS, the rockets, and the hill. They had about 6-12
seconds on all of their members and we barely had any. I
think the only thing that saved us in this game is we
only got one guy in the hill at a time. This allowed us
to get two of our guys their minute and have them cover
the other two guys. Although this was easier said than
done, you could set your watch by how Pod was constantly
blowing up the hill. I think it took me 4 lives to get
my last 2 seconds. In the end
O7AH won 1:00 - 0:19 |

Slayer on Lockout
(Neutral Slayer Pick)
Bungie.net Stats
Pod switched its roster up for the third
game and let JVN come in for chevelle65. I didn’t have
the video for this game and to be honest I wasn’t paying
a lot of attention to what was happening. I grabbed the
sniper and just protected it the whole game. I couldn’t
get very many good shots, those Pod guys are very
elusive creatures. Before I knew it the match was over.
O7AH takes it 50-16 |

Good games guys!
Well it was an intense battle. I would
like to thank the Pod guys for playing us. They were
good sports and showed us a really awesome gametype. We
